About Me: I grew up in West Plains, Missouri, but for the past 22 years, I have lived in southern Georgia. I started quilting in January 2007 to make a quilt for my grandson. Now I am completely addicted! My Grandma Eula was the quilter in the family and I have several of her quilts. I wish I had paid more attention and asked more questions while she was alive.

Hobbies and Interests: quilting, paper piecing, machine quilting, embroidery

My pets are awesome!: Maxine is my jack russell and Dixie is my lab.

Just wanted to post a note to remind everyone to always check the Web Specials on the CT web site. Let me tell you about the bargain that I found last week. I purchased the Road to the Riviera Quilt Kit and 5 1/2 yards of backing fabric at 40% off. Final cost was less than just the kit at full price. Hot and Hotter

That's the weather forecast for the deep south this past week and for this next week. We have had 95+ heat (heat index over 100) for seveal days and seems it is going to continue. Good reason to just stay inside with the air conditioner and sew, sew, sew. I am going to my LQS this morning for our Saturday Sampler meeting then its back home. I have several projects that I have been gathering supplies over the past several weeks and I think I will stay in and start working on them. My mom asked… Continue

Murder by Serpents...

I just finished Barbara Graham's book this past weekend and loved it. I started reading just before the Easter holiday weekend, not realizing before I started the book that the story was set in Townsend, TN, which is just down the road from Pigeon Forge, which is where we were going for a long weekend over Easter. It was a lot of fun to read the book knowing I was in the area of the story, was able to let my imagination wrap around the story.

Rainy Night in Georgia

The rain just started here in south Georgia, has been raining west of here most of the day and looks like it might rain here most of the night.

I have been working on several things at once again. I finished a table runner a couple weeks ago, my 1st purchase from CT. Then I have been working on setting 12 pieced blocks in a queen size quilt, I have the top almost complete and I already have the fabric for the back. I haven't decided if I will try to quilt myself, use the LA at my LQS… Continue

Georgia Bulldog Potholders

These are for my friend, Dana's husband. At Christmas, I made Dana some chicken potholders. Her husband has claimed one to hold his soup bowl, when eating a hot bowl of soup. I had some leftover Georgia Bulldog fabric from another project, and since Floyd is a Georgia Alum, decided I would make him his own personal potholder.

There will be a few clarifications that I will want to add to the pattern, but the most important thing is that I forgot (phooey) to include on the supplies list the amount of vinyl, felt, and muslin. Please verify that I sent you the pattern and when I have the corrections made I'll email you the corrections. Sorry for the missing info.

I just stayed off the computer. Therefore, I had 4 days with him. It was really nice, we just hung out, watched all sorts of movies, cooked up some good healthy foods, and took lazy naps. I live below Gainesville, Mo right off of Norfolk Lake for a while before moving to Springfield. I really liked West Plains, especially the famers markets and the quilt shop there.
