Susan I too moved from New Orleans to Mississippi. I hope some day to move closer to but not to N O. I have brothers in N.Shore, Picayune, and Slidell. My husband is leary of the hurricanes and I guess I can't blame him. My mother and grandmother taught me to sew. They both quited but I never took an interest in it until I retired and decided I needed something to do to pass the time. I took a few lessons, joined a club and helped form a Guild here in N. Mississippi that is thriving. I didn't know retirement would be so fun. Are there any quilt shops in your area? We are limited to 3 in a 30 mile radius but they do have a lot of classes and activities. I love visiting new shops.
Hi Susan Welcome to the site. I've been searching trying to find members from MS. I'm not exactly sure where Flora is. I'm in N.Ms near Olive Branch. We have a very active guild up here and I just love it. Have you been quilting long. Can you post some of your projects?
