The challenge is out, lets see how many of us can join the wonderful new campaign called Stitching for Pink !!! Starts today until 30 October. Its gonna be so much fun with 10 projects to complete. Come on Embroiderers lets unite and join the fight against Breast Cancer !!!
Tammy-Sounds good and should be fun! My favorite quilt shop isn't too far from JoAnn's. There is also another one downtown on Bluff Street. They changed hands a couple of years ago and their selection has gotten much better. I'm not a big homespun fan, so I kind of have gotten out the habit going in there. We can hit both of them!!!! I need help picking out my inner border for our group quilt!
Tammy-No problem. I'm on afternoons tomorrow and Wednesday, but working 7-2 on Thursday. If you wanted to meet on Thursday, we could do that. I'm sure you know where JoAnn's is behind Kennedy Mall? We could meet there if you wanted to. I could be there around 2:15 give or take. The girl that comes in to relieve me is never on time, but I can just tell the boss that I have to leave on time (for once). Let me know if that works for you!! It'll be fun to meet in person.
Thanks for the recipes! I will have to make them tomorrow, it should be fun! I did finish my grandson's quilt yesterday, and need to start thinking about my layout for the exchange squares. It sure is exciting, getting fabric in the mail every day. What are we going to do when we get all 29 envelopes? Go into withdrawls?
I will let you know what I make for the party, and all the good foods everyone else brings!
Tammy-I would love to get together with you when you're here in town. This week my work schedule is Wednesday 1:45-5:45 and Thursday 7am-2pm. Then we're leaving for my MIL's in northern WI Friday morning. Next week I'm working 7am-6pm on Monday and 1:45-5:45 on Tuesday and Wednesday. So I would be free to meet up with either before work or after or anytime on my days off. Let me know what would work for you. Other that JoAnn's and Hobby Lobby, there's only a couple of fabric shops here in town that are quilt shops. There is one in Galena also if you'd be interested.
Glad that you made it through the birthday party in one piece!!
Tammy-Good luck with the birthday party. Sounds like everything is under control. I'm a CASA volunteer and work with kids in foster care, many of which may be adopted and most of which have special needs for one reason or another. It takes a special person to give their love and home to these children. Good for you. I'm sure you get as much as you give from you kids.
Hope all goes well with the Survivor Party!!
