I have been quilting for many years but have recently gotten into scrap quilting. I have loads of scraps that I am attempting to use up. I like to make small projects such as baby, youth or lap size quilts and purses and accessories. For several years I have been involved with the ConKerr Cancer organization which makes pillowcases for children undergoing cancer treatment.

Hugs and Kisses Christmas Quilt Top

It's been a while since I posted...but I have to share my latest quilt top.  Though it has not been made into a quilt yet, I'm always gratified when it has come this far.  This probably won't be finished until Christmas 2014.  My sister and I have been working on this one for my aunt and another Christmas quilt for my mother so the both of them won't be done until 2014.  075.JPG …

Do you ladies know of something inexpensive that I can adhere to a quilt ruler to stop it from slipping when I cut?  There has to be some easy solution to this problem.

I wanted to take a moment and share my latest quilt top with you.  In March 2011 my sister (who lives in Arizona), two quilting friends (who live locally to me) and I decided to do Bonnie Hunter's "Little Monkey" quilt found on her website:  www.quiltville.com  To add a spin to the project, we decided to each pick out our own border fabric that we wanted to incorporate into our own quilt.  We provided each other with a piece…

Teri,, thanks for accepting me as a friend.  I also live in Oakland County,,, the far west side.  Have you ever been to the Sterling Heights store, Quilt n Friends??   Its at 17 & Ryan.   Also the Berkley store on 12 west of Coolidge is a great store.
