Sending sunny skies your way...

Hope everyone is staying busy and warm. We have had a couple of cold days for here, but I still went swimming. Wanted to send some pictures of the gorgeous flowers from the yard. The picture of the ground owls are from our yard.They are protected...if, you see one, put a fence around the area and build a little perch for them to sit on. Gary gets a good hissing at every morning. We had friends in over the weekend. Went to a 50-60s cabaret show. We did a lot of dancing and table singing.…

We made it...

We left NY on Wednesday am. Gary was feeling funky, but insisted on leaving because that storm was moving in the next day. He rallied until just north of DC. Then, chills and fever hit. I took over the driving...after 45 years the ole boy had to turn it over to me. I don't think he thought I'd make good time. We drove 10 hours and got down into NC. His temp broke during the night and we made it to Daytona beach. We always start the winter trip there. Same hotel room with the doors open to…

Hi from Maine

Sitting here resting up from doing alterations all day. With the wind blowing the snow we got yesterday around I haven't ventured out in this 9 degree weather except to move my car for the plow. My next projects are to make myself a kitchen curtain ( I have the valance done) and another mixer cover for a client. And then get back to quilting until more work comes in. My goal is to make four of my grandchildren a quilt (the other three got theirs last year) and one for both my son's.  Two are…

Winter wallhanging

A few days ago I received an e-mail from a company called Kimberbelle that had a link to a cute freebie that could be either machine embroidered or hand embroidered.  I couldn't resist and had it made within a couple of days.  There are also buttons on it that were specifically made to go with this design.  Fortunately one of the stores in Columbia MO sells a lot of their stuff so they not only had the buttons, they carry the cute little hangers.  This is approx. 5-1/2" x 9-1/2".…

fabric help
