My mom called this morning with some very upsetting news. One of my uncles, the husband of my quilting mentor aunt, had a heart attack yesterday and was going through surgery. I haven't yet heard how it all came out but please send out many prayers for his successful speedy recovery. He was the last one I would expect to have heart problems, always walking and eating healthy. He has had his share of prostate cancer in the past but has come through that fine. Thanks for your prayers.
Good morning everyone! I hope everyone is sufficiently recovered from their holiday weekend. A lady that I work with just brought me a quilt that she wants repaired. Now I've never repaired a quilt before so I don't really know what I'm doing, so I thought I would ask you all!

Nothing like thinking a project through and then adding a center block with a set in seam. And there in lays the problem. I don’t really have a clue how to do it. So rather than wait I have sewn a bunch of pieces together and now I see with some internet research that I should have ended my seams ¼" before the end of the piece. Am I totally up the creek without a paddle? Can I just ripe some seams back to within a ¼" of the edge? My plan is to go home from work today and see if I can’t get…Continue
