Wondering if anyone knows of any quilt shops in the southern part of Colorado. We'll be there Sept. 12 - 19, traveling from Denver to Durango to Telluride. I've been to the Great American Quilt Factory and have that at the top of my list. Would love to know if there are any stops I should include in our trip. Thanks.

I've started a new group for those of you who are interested in modern quilts. Since the Contemporary Quilt Along never took off (I think mainly because there was no way for a daily discussion) I thought I'd start this group so we can talk and share ideas.
So if you like to make traditional quilts with a modern look using wonderful new fabrics and fresh color combinations come and join this new group.

So, I have decided that my collection of recipes and craft ideas has run away from me on my web site rkmquilts.com. Starting soon, I will have two new sites where you can copy off my ideas.
Originally, I started RKMQUILTS as a place to write my Roseville novels and then slowly it has grown larger and larger into some other "fun" avenues. Now, I have so much on the tool bar that I have to "weed…

I got a lot of sewing done while they were finishing the tile. I designed a medallion for over the sink, but what you have to go through to get it together and up...was going to be too costly. So, went with one already made, that I really like. This is a job, but very happy with the results. In the meantime, I made a mini bow purse! So, was a successful day! Will work on bags for the children hospital today for Beads of Courage.
Have a great day!…Continue
isn't this thing the coolest? Sorry, I shouldn't brag about it myself, but I must say that I really and honestly think our latest pattern is "Fabulous". Which is why its name also is "Fabulous".... ;-)
It is a shawl made from light cotton batiste which was "dyed" using the…Continue
Without power, I thought that I would lose my mind camping out in my own home. But it came on this morning at 12:45a.m. after almost 34 hours of no power. My rug in the family room already has a mildew odor. I'm hoping with baking soda and Carpet Fresh, and a lot of fans blowing around, that may help reduce the smell. It gives me a headache and I'm finding that I can't sleep. My heart goes out to others who have worse situations in the NE. I simply cannont imagine how devastating it could…Continue
Hi all, just wanted to let you know we didn't get much of the storm here at my house. Was really surprised at how little wind and rain we got. We're about a mile or two from the Intrecoastal waterway and a little bit more from the Atlantic as the Crow files so I expected to get a lot of wind and rain. I'm not sorry a bit and do feel for those who got hit hard in NC and up the Coast.
Today's the reveal day for my latest Scrap Squad Quilt. This one was really out of my comfort zone....not a pattern I would have normally done on my own. I guess that's what makes being a Scrap Squad member such fun! If you'd like to see the write up, go to http://www.quiltmaker.com/blogs/quiltypleasures/…Continue
