swaps and other info

hello everyone. well things have been happening in my life that I never intended to be happening with me. I have seen more of a hospital room than my own apartment. I hope now that I am home I can get back to doing things just a little more slower and not try to overdo myself.

I know I have messed up two swaps I am in and I do apologize. I am not one of those people who just gather blocks and don't send any out. I am just in some health issues that came up and interrupted my life. do…

Apparently, some of us need a deadline...

I started pulling fabrics from my stash on Friday for a baby quilt for my great-niece who was set to arrive on Tuesday.  Nothing like waiting until the last minute.  (It's not like I didn't know she was coming, right?)  The quilt was finished up the day after she was born and will be making its way to the southeast Kansas area in the morning.

Stats:  The pattern is from Quick & Easy Quilting, Aug. 2001 by Sue Harvey.  It was titled Circus Tricks in the magazine -probably…

Thank you all for the very Warm Welcome back!

Hello everyone, thank you for the warm welcome back.  It felt great too.  Still so busy getting everything done for this shower.  It is moving along very smoothly.   My daughter will be flying in, a few days before the shower to help me.  Frankly, I will be a bit happy when its over with.  So I can see all the baby stuff she got.  Then, I can move on to do the things I love.   Quilting!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is Evy, one of my new babies.  She is a Labradoole  and she is only 3 months old. I…

A tour of The Design Library print studio

A month ago I went to New York for vacation and just prior to me leaving I got a "touch base" email from a print studio we work with there. I let them know I would be in New York that following week and was encouraged to come see their offices. They're based out of upstate New York and I wasn't sure if I'd be able to fit it into my schedule. It took a little planning, but I got a few friends together and was able to make a road trip out of it.

The studio is called The…

4 days to go

We are getting the last of the boxes filled as we prepare for our move in just 4 days now. I do hope we'll get to stay at the new place for a few years. I'm getting weary of packing and moving.  I am very experienced at it. LOL  Today we are going out to the new (to us) house to get some measurements so we'll know where things will fit. There are two "bedrooms" that…

High Fiber—Cloudy Days; Bright Colors, Kids and Pets

Have I been busy? Isn't it Labor Day? The placemats are coming along:

The yellow is the center of the placemat. I'm using Dishie worsted in Fiesta RedConchClementine and Creme Brûlée, with just a touch of Swan.
The Waffle Sweater is seeing some progress, too:…

Happy Labor Day!

We are having a stormy day. Terrible thunder and light show! It is a good day to catch up on things before heading back home. Summer was short to say the least and very wet! Wish we could send some it out west. We took the gdsons and their little buddies to the apple farm yesterday. We must have been out of our minds! 5 boys running amuck! It was organized crazy! Never laughed so much! The first picture is our 4yr.old Brayden...can you tell he is an imp!!! He will steal your heart instantly,…

Is it me or the web site????

Just got off work a little while ago and thought I'd do a little on line shopping here but I can't get to the page.

I was wondering if any one else is having a problem with this.  I clicked on the Winter's Evening picture on the side of the page here and got to that page but when I try to go to the main fabric page or any of the other tabs on the page I get error message.  So Is it just me or is anyone else having this problem?
