DH and I got to spend 7 days in Hawaii (Kailua, Oahu), missing all the snow, melt, runoff, floods, bridge and road washouts in our area. Our youngest (Adam) took us (and others) over for the week to celebrate a wedding vows renewal for him and Jenna ... on the beach. They were married by a justice of the peace 5 years ago and this was their wedding of their dreams. It was wonderful! In addition to the ceremony we did a lot of sightseeing. We hiked to an overlook near the southern tip of…Continue

Poor dolly is nekkid. All her clothes have gone to her as-yet-unnamed counterpart in Wisconsin. She looked good in the outfits before she got stripped down, though.
The Aran pullover I had so much trouble with came out nicely in the end. It’s the”Fisherman Knit Sweater” from …Continue
Okay...I've seen it all! The Bffs went shopping yesterday. We went to Talbots. My mom likes their shoes and I can just get her size and know that it's going to fit. The cashier did open the box but did not take them out. Cashed me out and we went onto the next shop. Later, I was looking at the shoes before I wrapped them, and one of the tassels just fell off. Called the store to see if they had another pair! Hubby and I drove back to the store...figured it would be a quick turnover, so sent…Continue

Hubby and I share office space. His is in the lower level of the room and mine has one large wall in the upper part. I wanted to personalize my space. So, for Christmas we both decided to remake our areas. The final piece went up today, my new sign! I love the wall and will enjoy it for years to come! We didn't have to wrap a thing!!! Time is closing in ladies...keep those…Continue

Most of my fiber time this week was spent making clothes for an 18" Madame Alexander doll, whom I've named Dolly. (Creative, right?) I finished the cardigan. Here it is on the model:

This is my busy time of year. Last minute quilts for customers that need them back as soon as I pull them off the frame to get binding on. I do get stressed trying to work everyone in, but I really do love seeing and quilting all the beautiful quilts. Plus I get joy knowing someone is getting a quilt for Christmas, made with love. I also hope it will inspire whoever receives it to carry on the tradition of quilting. I can't imagine a world without quilts and hope I never have to!
Adorable young couple next door had the MOST precious baby girl last April, so I started a baby quilt for her. DH insisted I finish it before she turned 10 years old. I actually finished it before her 6 month birthday! Finding all the fabrics to match the…Continue
Our annual quilt group Christmas party is tomorrow. We will have a gift exchange, lots of yummy goodies, a hot chocolate bar, and always bring donations for our food pantry. It should be fun. My girlfriend collects whimsical reindeer. So, I made her a fun pillow for the Christmas season. It was a fun project. When, I did craft shows, I used this reindeer on bibs. Sold out every show. Sewing with fun fur is hard on the machine. It is a drippy day, so will get caught up on ironing and all those chores we hate to do on a sunny day! Geez, the calendar keeps…Continue
I've been keeping up with the Little Quilts, but have not posted since last spring. So yesterday I posted pictures of my little quilts on my page. I only put the pictures of the ones where I used my own materials or changed the pattern, cause you all know what the kit patterns look like. I changed the log cabin in September's pattern to make 3/8 inch logs and fussy cut the chimney. It was fun rearranging the blocks to get what I wanted. I'd always wanted to make a REAL log cabin quilt.…Continue
