Happy New Years everyone

It's been kind of quiet around our house this evening.  I hope it stays that way. I do have to get up and go to work in the morning.  Yes I am the greedy one.  How can I resist making nearly triple the wages I normally get for holiday pay.  I can't!  I told everyone how my sweet other half set up my sewing machines for me last week.  Well I have yet to sew anything worth while.  I did get to test out my new quilting machine and it seems to work just fine although it's going to take a while…

Merry Christmas

I hope everyone  is having a very merry Christmas.  Normally I would have been on here early this morning before going to work but for some reason I just never got here.  Yes I do work on holidays.  I get paid too much not to work!  It has been an interesting few months around here.  We are still trying to get our house fixed up and ready to sell.  This has been an extremely slow process for us so we have decided to hold out till spring and sell the house.  Most of the major work has been…

I find it hard to believe this year is close to the end. I have always heard that time flies when you're having fun. I didn't get as much accomplished as I had hoped for but work came before pleasure and it supports my fabric addiction.

Tomorrow I will be taking down my decorations. They have been out since the day after Thanksgiving. I have some alterations to complete and then I hope I can get back to my own projects. I enjoy the three sewing groups I belong too.

Today I…

Merry Christmas

I want to take a minute to wish all of my Quilt With Us friends a very Merry Christmas.  Ours is going to be quiet since we won't be celebrating with our family until Sunday.

Christmas wish...

Good morning-

We just returned from a fantastic trip. We flew to Phoenix on Thanksgiving day to spend with dear friends. After three days we traveled to Santa Fe, stopping at the National Petrified forest. The beauty of the scenery in New Mexico and Az was awesome. Every ten miles , it seemed to change. We were in heaven shopping in Santa Fe. We collect American Indian art. After blowing our budget, we continued on to northern NM to the Navajo Dam. My father worked on the building of…

And now... Hospice

Hello friends,

It's time for another update. On Friday my husband transitioned from palliative care to hospice care. The second tumor (the one inoperable) was affected little, if  at all, with the chemo and radiation and is growing. He has chosen to not do more chemo, which I go along with. With not pursuing any other treatment (no treatment will cure, only possibly buy a little time) it was time for hospice. He was fine with going this route and is enjoying having a good hospital bed…
