Hawaiian Applique

Just returned from a trip to Hawaii--something that was on DH's and my bucket list. DH wanted to see the Arizona Memorial and it was inspiring and sad at the same time. Hawaii really honors service men and women and is very patriotic. That was refreshing.

Looking for a special old pattern

I once had a book of log cabin patterns for the seasons. It had an Easter, Halloween, and especially a Christmas table topper. The design for the table topper was octagonal and was poinsettias. I purchased my fabric and started on my project. I was working at the time and had a busy family, so I did not get very far with this project at the time.
