Happy New Year, Everyone! As I've read in your blog posts, I too hope to create lots more quilts this coming year. This last year was not that productive for me as I'd hoped and I intend to change all of that. Today, my sweet daughter-in-law and I spent the day together, first at our fave fabric shop where we each got lots of goodies, then to Michael's Crafts where Wendy got more scrapbook goodies and out to lunch. It was the stuff of dreams to have each other just to ourselves and we took full advantage. Heck, even my neck muscles hurt a bit, I did so much chattering. : )
Seriously, I'm thinking the first quilt project of 2012 for me will be to begin my next Baltimore Album quilt and to make a fabric-quilted tote bag that I've been wanting to make. I (finally!) found a copy of Fons and Porter's quilted vest book, published in the 1980's and have fabrics perfect to make myself one and maybe another as a gift. Then, after the mometum gets rolling along, I'll see what will be created.
That's it from Connecticut for me, quilt buddies, with less than 5 hours left in 2011. Hope the year 2012 brings all things to us all.
God bless and hugs,
