Quilt With Us

Haven't posted anything in a long while. Have finals in two weeks. I sure will be glad when this semester is over. Doing well in my math and medical term. classes, may have to talk my english class over. I love reading books, but hate writing papers. From what other students are saying, no one is getting higher than a C. I have this love/hate thing about school. Would rather be sewing or reading, just have to keep thinking about the benefit of going back to school.
Jury duty starts next week, so there's something else stopping me from what I really want to do.
Hope everyone is enjoying themselves more than I am.

Happy Quilting,

Samara, will be thinking about you while you do jury duty and also write those finals. Hang in there and you will not regret it.

These last few weeks of the semester are killers, aren't they? My daughter can relate. She is ready for a break also. Sounds like you have the added stress of jury duty in addition to studying for finals. Busy time of year. Hang in there!!! PQ

I love to read positive quotes and though I might share a couple with you today, Samara.

"I know the price of success: dedication, hard work and an unremitting devotion to the things you want to see happen." - Frank Lloyd Wright

"In the realm of ideas everything depends on enthusiasm; in the real world, all rests on perseverance." - Johann von Goethe

"Diamonds are only lumps of coal that stuck to their jobs." -B.C. Forbes

"Just tell yourself that you love English and adore writing essays...you may be surprised to see a gradual turning away from the previously held stance of not caring for it; funny what power we hold in the simple action of willfully changing our thoughts, especially when it goes directly against what our minds are trying to convince us of!" -just me (my mom used to say - Learn to like it, haha!, but I like my version of it better.)

Blessings on your schooling!

Hi Samara, It has been sometime, glad you got a chance to write now. Good luck on your finals!! I am sure you will do well. It something I wished I had done a trillon years ago, but I made other choices in life and that's ok. It is so great to hear that there are so many others out there going back to school and getting more and more degrees! Your day will come when you can sit down and pick up where you left off in the quilting area........... I am sure it's there and waiting patiently!!
Have a wonderful Christmas holiday with you and yours!!

Samara, sounds like you need a long walk or a break from all the pressures of school and life combined. I admire you for sticking with it...ride the cycle of life and it will be worth it.
