Quilt With Us

Me and my Rotary cutter are back in business..I was a little timid when I picked it up. ;)) .As many of you know, Saturday, I snipped off a tip of my Left index finger. I'm really surprised that its healing so fast, but delighted !  :)

Its still a little tough typing, cause I still have it bandaged ! So please excuse any typing errors.....LOL

Hav a good night everyone, I have some cutting and sewing and quilting to do.

I've done the same thing.  Watching TV and cutting out a quilt at the same time is a sure sign of DANGER.  The good side?.... that my left index finger is nice and skinny to the right of my fingernail.  Then I drop'd my cuttter and it sliced thru my jeans and cut my thigh...nice scar there now too.  Hubby said I should get a tatoo to cover it.  YUK!  Glad your healing nicely.

I sliced my index finger from just below the nail, straight up.  A friend butterflied it for me until the seminary clinic reopened a couple of days later, when the elderly doctor looked at it and said I should always cut  myself with a rotary cutter b/c it made such a nice straight cut.

If you are hand sewing don't sew through your bandage.  Been there, done that.

Heavens, I did that a couple of years ago, sliced off the edge of my index finger. Did not even feel it for the first few seconds but stared stupidly at all the red blood dripping on my material! You can bet I double check finger placement before I roll that baby now! Take care!--Marla

Hope you continue to heal quickly.  I know how the sore fingertips can slow you down.
