Quilt With Us

We are about 20 miles from where President Obama landed yesterday to visit Cooperstown. Our son is the coach for varsity lacrosse and we were at a sectional playoff game. They were announcing since, they had played the National Anthem for the first game, that it wouldn't be played again and the game could start. About that time, the escort plane flew over...you can definitely tell that these are not your usual planes. A few seconds later Air Force One flew over...they decided, it would be appropriate to play the anthem again. That plane sounded so powerful. It was low and circling, but still an impressive site. As a footnote...we won!!! A great evening!

It is an impressive site(and sound). It flew quite low over our house when we lived in Florida ( we were on an approach to the airport anyway in Cape Coral- though still several miles away.  After one of the hurricanes we also saw Marine  Force One and the accompanying other 2 helicopters fly over once.

Pretty neat! Glad they played the anthem again AND that your team won!
