Even though I should have been spending my time basting an older UFO, I saw this embroidery design & just couldn't resist making it. It is the freeform tablerunner by Sweet Pea Designs. I did the center part on my embroidery machine & then added the borders as I wanted it to be wider than the pattern is. It only took a few hours to make. If you click on the picture, I think it will enlarge it enough so you can see the quilting better. That is all done using my emb machine except for the quilting in the borders.

Thanks handstitcher! I love my emb machine! They are so much more versatile than they used to be.
Impressive, Janet! You’ve really made good use of your embroidery machine!
Thanks Pam & Mary.
Mary my emb machine only does embroidery. It is a Janome 500e. This is the 2nd one I have had. The upside to these kinds of machine is that you don't have to choose between sewing or embroidering like you do with a combination machine. Of course you can always buy a 2nd sewing machine, but this has worked great for me for over 15 years.
Very striking...love it!
Thanks to you both. I love batiks. Can't beat them for vibrant colors.
Love it! The quilting is beautiful, as are those wonderful batik fabrics.
So pretty, Janet. Looks like another fun project. Embroidery machines are amazing!
