Quilt With Us

Where does the time go?  It's hard to believe that Christmas is over. We, along with a lot of other States got plenty of snow on Christmas Day. Ours is light and fluffy but it kept the men busy keeping it plowed.

I had a quiet Christmas with just my son and his girlfriend coming for dinner.

My head is swirling with all the projects I want to work on the rest of the Winter. I got a couple of Christmas books with patterns that I would like to make.

Enjoy the rest of the Winter ~ Happy New Year to all.

Happy New Year! We went to visit #2 son and his family. What a riot! We were lucky about our flights and got home just before the next round of winter hit.

Happy New Year, Irene.  We had a nice Christmas as well.  I have two little grandsons visiting for the weekend.

Dear Irene, Thank you so much for the talk we had on Christmas day.!

Even our children didn't call on Christmas day,,But I get a visit from my friend Irene.. thank you so much for making my day!..It was really special for me to know that someone was thinking of me...How sweet.! Happy New Year.!

I am going to try to get to some of the people who are in my life, by trying to visit them while we are both able to...so if I ask for your address..well guess who is coming to visit?

Belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Irene! We just got home this afternoon from spending a week at our daughter's house in Missouri. We had a great visit, but a long drive home today. So glad to be here.

Merry Christmas.  Here you are planning your next projects while I just putz around trying to motivate myself.  I have plenty of ideas, just not the oomph to get started.  Must be some post-Christmas burn out.  This too shall pass.  In the meantime, sending you wishes for a wonderful 2018.

It sounds like you had a very nice Christmas Irene.  We opened gifts with our daughter & her 2 boys on Christmas Eve.  Then yesterday we just had a nice quiet day watching movies on tv, reading and just generally relaxing.  Today I quilted as much as I could on a quilt until I almost ran out of thread so now I need to order more.  Hopefully Superior Threads will have this one in stock.  According to their website they do.  None of the stores close to me sell their thread.  Kinda frustrating to have to pay shipping and handling, but just one of those things we quilters put up with on occasion.  I hope 2018 brings you much happiness and continued good health.

Sharon, I made some of my alteration clients wait until after Christmas this year so I could concentrate on my own quilting. I have been putting everyone else's projects ahead of my own so I reversed things this year and did my own and made my clients wait. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas.

You've been sewing and doing alterations for so long, it's time to do some of your new projects. I don't like to leave a UFO, so I have only one that I don't know when I will finish. It's a queen and on point with the blocks, and I do mine in halves. It's diagonal and I'm having a hard time deciding on how I'm going to finish it. Maybe I'll just sew it all together and send it out to be quilted, but I do love doing the quilting myself. Guess I'll just keep procrastinating. Have a good week to end the year!!!!

Pam, I don't think I will live long enough to make all the things I have rattling around in my head. But I hope to be more productive now that Christmas is gone for another year.  I have some alterations I want to work on today before I can start any new projects.  I get my mojo from finishing a project.  For a long time I would start something and then decide to do something else. Leaving me with many UFO's.
