Quilt With Us

Praying you had a Spirit Led week.

As I am growing stronger and health is improving, I am able to do more.

School will be starting back soon in the area.   Though we only have one grandchild in school at this time, he is fun to keep up with.  His dad has him every other week.  So since we are local, Seth is able to come visit us after his morning band practice.  (Sean lives about 10 miles out of town)  That way his dad does not need to worry about him.  He has a 'safe house'.  He is a junior this year!   We will feed him (EEK!)  Been there done that with our 4 sons.  I got the guest room cleaned up for him to 'crash' in if he needs it.  Or if he just needs his own space.  During the school year, that room is considered Seth's room, LOL.

Saturday I started cleaning up and organizing the studio.  What a disaster, you would think high winds hit that place.  Stuff scattered everywhere.  While working in there, I found 2 projects.  YIPPEE!  Something to do.  I also decided to use my Nifty Knitter to make Baby Daniel a winter hat.  That is a sit in front of the tv project.

The oldest twin (second oldest son) and his wife celebrated 10 years of marriage on Friday.  They are the couple we are waiting to hear if we have another grandchild on the way.  Hopefully soon we will hear.

Hebrews 13:5 (ESV)

Keep your life free of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, "I will never leave you or forsake you."

Have a Spirit Led week to come.

You and your grandson are both lucky to be able to spend so much time together.  Sometimes it just feels good to clean and organize your creative space.  It can be so inspiring.

It's nice that your grandson is local so he can visit often.  Cleaning the sewing room can be interesting.  Finding things you didn't know you had or finding something you have been hunting for and couldn't find. And then there are times an impulse hits to take a bulldozer and start from scratch.

Those connections with grandchildren are very important.  My grandparents played a major role in my own life, my parents in my kids' lives, and I hope to continue their example.  Glad you are close enough to be involved.

Hope you are making progress on cleaning your studio.  I've been cleaning closets this past week.  Haven't gotten to the sewing area yet.

Contentment is an important quality to cultivate in one's life.  I see so many lives full of discontentment, and many problems follow because of it.

Have a good week!
