Wow! Ok, first of all, everyone who is out there reading my blog from the US East Coast, hang in there! My thoughts and prayers will be with you this weekend. I want to give a special shout-out to my personal quilting friends in Maryland! You are all probably much too busy boarding up your windows to be sitting with your computer reading blogs, but I just wanted to let you know you are in our hearts and on our minds as we watch Hurricane Irene blow in!
Being a stormphobic myself, I can't even imagine being in a hurricane. A tornado is nothing compared to what you go through. The thought of knowing something like a catagory 3,4 or 5 hurricane on it's way to my way could honestly just about do me in...it's a very good thing we settled in the Midwest!
So, be safe.
Here in Indy, my life is pretty tame. I am planning to go to the American Sewing Guild show in Indianapolis this morning and then work on my blocks for the Fall Roseville Retreat this afternoon. Mancave and I have tickets to the Colts-Packer football game at Lucas Stadium tonight, so that's pretty exciting! I am looking forward to it! (This is a day Mancave has been looking forward to for some time, let me tell you!)
I will be praying for your safety, my friends--hey, I just saw on the Weather Channel they are evacuating some people to Louisville, KY-only an hour away from Indy. If any of you out there end up in my city, please email me-we can get together!
Hugs and Stitches, xoxoxo
