Quilt With Us

Came home from our son's house the day after Christmas and woke up to this the following morning.  Burr.... Everything is frozen.  We don't have a blade of grass or a leaf anywhere that doesn't have this frozen stuff on it.  I think our high yesterday was 27 degrees and it stayed gray and cloudy all day.  Wish i could say I spent the day in my sewing room but alas, I didn't.  Too many games on the tube yesterday so we did snack foods and watched football most of the day.

We had a wonderful Christmas with our new grandson, Luke.  I got a few gushy hugs in as  I did have to share with the other grandma.  No hogging allowed, right?  At three weeks old that kid cleaned up in the gift department. lol   Here he is in his elf uniform. Santa gave him the day off so he could spend it with us.  Now to get ready for New Years....

Debbie, Luke looks like a keeper! The elf outfit is soooo prescious! I can just imagine how hard it was to share him with his other grandma. Aren't the hoidays great when there is a little one around!!!!

Did Santa purposely leave this handsome elf behind?  I'd love to have him!  He will surely win the hearts of many young 'chicks'.  So adorable.  Congratulations Grandma!

Debbie, your little elf is just too darned cute for words!  I too would love to just kiss those little toes.  There is just nothing better than cuddling with a newborn baby.

It is very cold here, but so far we have had very little snow this winter.  I hope that doesn't mean we will still be getting some at the end of February like what has happened in the past.

It's 40 and gray in Sugar Land, Texas right now.  I'm a Summer girl!  We are going to have a cold winter. That may sound unusual to most of you but here in South Texas we have mild winters most years.  I go out when I have to and stay in the rest of the time.  Debbie, your grandbaby boy is precious and beautiful.  So what you have to share.....he's lucky to have lots of love.

Luke is so cute.  I love his elf suit.  I'm sick of snow.  This month has been one big snowfall after another, plus freezing rain. There are still some people without power going on the 2nd week.  That California weather sounds good to me Carol Ann.

Adorable baby!  We are enjoying sunny days here in California; record high temperatures.  After January 1 we had better see some serious rain!

I thought all you got was rain!!! We are frosty and sunny this a.m.

I am so glad you had cuddle time with Luke. I am sure he was good for your spirit.

The snow looks so beautiful!  We're going to be in the mid-70's down here in the southwestern desert today.

Talk about beautiful!!  Luke is adorable!!!  I think that once I picked him up, I wouldn't want to put him down again...or share with the other grandma!!  Enjoy every moment with that little guy!!

Wow - you are a lot colder and icier than we are.  It was warm enough yesterday that all the built up frost on the decks at the lodges melted away! DH got to watch the Seahawks game yesterday - he was very happy.  That little DGS is so darn cute. I bet it is hard to share him.

He's such a precious cutie and I'd like to hog him too. They grow so fast. Now about your snow, I didn't know that you had any and it's not been that cold here. It's 36 this AM, but not foggy. We've had so many days with fog and very little sun. Have a Happy New Year!!!   The Seahawks game was awesome, not counting the tiffs and the player getting ejected from the other team. That was too bad.
