Yoohoo! Today is the day I get to pack for my big quilt retreat! I am so excited that I woke up at 5:30 am and am blogging here before 6! (Don't let me fool you, this is with a little coffee on the side...but you all know me well enough to know that probably is a given.)
Actually, the craft room closet cleaning took me a little longer than expected yesterday which held me up a bit. Then, I got the bright idea of "evaluating" my fabric. I hauled it ALL into the livingroom and for the next three hours sorted and watched Martha Stewart episodes. Ok, I will admit that it wasn't the worse thing I could have done all day, but it certainly was the most time consuming!
Later, when I had settled into my clean craft room and started slicing and dicing my fabrics for my retreat projects I realized that too would be cut short. I had Lenten service, followed by choir practice! Augh! Our congregation is doing a Passion Play and I am part of the singing group. By the time I got home, it was almost 9pm. Mr. Man Cave had saved two episodes of The Middle for us to watch and then after those...well, it was time for bed! ( It really is amazing how close to our life The Middle really is by the way...they could have cast ME for the part of the mother and it would have been second nature...except I don't work at a car dealership, or have three kids or live in a junky house...BUT! I DO LIVE IN INDIANA!)
Now here I am again, ready to start on my fabric once again. After that, I have Walmart for groceries, the pharmacy for meds, Goodwill for a couple of long-sleeved t shirts and a sweatshirt that fits and here and there for other necessities for the retreat. Eventually, I will have to go out and clean my car out...but let's not get too ahead of ourselves here...that can wait until at least after lunch!
I will stop by quick tomorrow morning before I leave-see you then! I guess it's pretty obvious that I AM EXCITED TO GET GOING TO MY RETREAT!
Live Your Passion!
