Challenging Myself
Hi to everyone! I am new to blogging, but this isn't my only challenge. I decided to enter a quilt contest, which I have never done before. Thank goodness it is only 16" x 16" and it has to be a crazy quilt pattern.
I have been sewing on and off for many years, but it has only been in the last several that I have become more involved in quilting. I recently bought an HQ16 which I love! I've done several baby quilts, as well as quilts for my nephews - one in graduate school and the other in college. Those were challenging as I designed the quilt as I went along.
I enjoy both traditional quilt patterns and quilting, as well as art quilts. There are so many techniques that I want to learn in both fabric and quilting arts.

Hi Theresa, Wow I don't think I will ever enter a quilt contest...you go girl! I also recently bought an HQ 16 and love it..still trying to understand how to use the panto's, and I am sure I will get the hang of it the more I practice....any hints you want to share are welcome. Have you used the Essentials Thread on it and if you have did you have any problems? Good luck with the contest...hope you win and I would love to see a picture also.
