Quilt With Us

Haven't blogged in a while, but that doesn't mean I've been lax on the work in the studio.  My DH had a Birthday early April so when our DS came for a visit we combined his Birthday, our 35th Anniversary and Easter together as all these celebrations were only separated by a couple days.  It was so good to see him and spend some time together.

I've been spending my studio time making charity kennel quilts and MorsBags.  Seems like the scrap bin is getting bigger with smaller scraps now.   Funny how that works.  I may just have to trash them as I am sick of seeing the same colors and fabrics.   The UFO's have been put to the side for now.  I think I have 2 wall hangings to quilt and bind, 1 bed size to quilt and bind, and a couple table runners which need top completion.

There are 24 bags so far.  I'd like to make a few more before I give them away.  Here, they are folded neatly

but they are a generous size.  Go to www.morsbags.com for more information or to make your own.   :o)

The kennel quilts are so cute. I'm sure the shelters love seeing you bring them. We always use cloth bags for shopping. Wished they never invented bags and styrofoam!

Sounds like your a busy lady. Love the shelter quilts.  I agree with you on the scraps. I cut mine from 2 1/2" squares to 5" squares and then put them in baggies. I also use little pieces of fabric to make yo yo's.  But this scrap thing can get out of hand and I start pitching them in the trash.
