May the Christmas Season bring you peace, joy and happiness in the new year!
Meet "Kokapelli" or "Koka" for short. Our new addition to our family. She came to us via an internet search for shelties which led us to Maple Lane shelties outside of Montrose, PA. She is 7 years old, had been retired from breeding (3 sets of litters), was a show dog and is now the love of my life. She is MY dog and worships every step I take and patiently walks at my heels with me. She has adapted well to her new home and is now very spoiled enjoying good food (high end meat products) and lots of love and attention. We are still learning about her and she is learning a lot about us. We are blessed to have a healthy, and happy pooch.
Now because I have her (a month now), I haven't done much in the way of quilting. Since my 'space' is in the basement, she hasn't figured out how to go down the stairs and I'm not encouraging it because she might slip and fall through the risers of the stairs. However I have engaged in the Quilts of Valor Foundation and
have begun making quilts for our veterans through their program. I also have encouraged my quilting associates to make blocks for same. I have some quilts in various stages at the present. I'll post pictures for you to enjoy.
These are a few of the quilts made for Quilt of Valor veterans.
