Quilt With Us

Hi All!

With my job I iron a lot of quilt backings.  I'm getting really frustrated with my cord getting tangled up.  I'm just wondering if anyone out there has a cordless iron that they love.  I've been looking at the Panasonic.  I would just like something without a cord that actually gets HOT and stays hot.

Any information would be greatly appreciated!

I hope everyone is doing well!

I don't know if this is helpful, but maybe try this?

That's pretty much what I found out too. I decided I am getting a travel iron. I have a big Rowenta for garments. Just want one for my piecing.

Thanks ladies! I did read reviews on the Panasonic but they are so mixed, I hoped someone on here had one. I like the convenience of taking it to my sit and sews at my church with the case. I guess if I hate it I can return it!

I also had a Eureck cordless iron, but it did not stay hot long and I felt like Carol Ann that it was more trouble then it was worth to use it.

I have one of the original cordless irons made by Maytag, but I don't love it.  We have a somewhat cordial relationship; it's just too much trouble to use a lot.  It works well for brief spurts, but then needs to be set back into it's cradle to warm back up to cotton heat.  You have to keep the cradle close by.  I think the manufacturer has stopped making them.  Nice sturdy iron, though.

I bought a Eureck vacuum cleaner that had a cordless iron that came with it.  I loved the iron and the convenience of not having to bother with the cord but the iron didn't last more then a year.

Me three!  Just recently posted a question about this iron on Amazon, too.  The reviews go both ways, some say it stays hot, others say it won't last long enough to get any ironing done.  I was going to get one for doing piecing where it is only used in fits and starts so to speak.  Like the carrying case for it also.  But I don't know about ironing a large piece where you hardly ever put the iron down.

I have been looking at the Panasonic cordless too. I am going to look at some reviews. See what they are saying. I found it on QVC and they have reviews. And also on Amazon. I will post what I find out.
