Found about 2" of snow this morning, but it's melting quickly. It's still a good reason to stay inside and get some quilting/sewing done. My DH's nephew and his wife are expecting their second child in June, so I am making them a baby quilt. Instead of cutting triangles AND squares for this, I cut all squares and actually cheated a little as some are pre-cut charm squares (2.5") in pretty colors and patterns. Set on point the colored squares make a cross pattern. I also sewed on the diagonal. My dilemma has been, OK, now what? It only measures 23"X 29". So, I added a 2" white border and bought a bright blue solid for an outer border. I had thought about a pieced border or "piano keys", but I don't want to add anymore confusion to the design. Today I am working on the outer border and hope to get to the sandwiching stage.
