Quilt With Us

Ta da dada Ta dada dada! Ta da dada Ta dada DA!! Da dadadadadadadadada ... Well you get the general idea <LOL> I am doing a happy dance as the very last section of the ceiling was completed at 7 pm this evening! Wheeeeee!!!! That means that the cabinets can be mounted to the wall and the top put on the corner floor cabinet and stained/sealed. The work station will be bolted together, the end plates put on and then the top is going to be glued in place and it then will be sealed. Once that is all done, I will go to the pole barn and retrieve the armoires (sp) and the antique dresser that's been in my family for years and put them in their place, clean them of dust and spiders and start bringing things out of my son's upstairs bedroom in the house. Once all that is put away, then I'll see what is left that I need to be able to bring all the patterns and books that are still in the pole barn and put them in the studio.

Once I have everything in place. I will be taking inventory of the books and those that I no longer wish to have, that I have never used or have duplicates of, I will put on a swap/trade discussion thread. I will list the book and beside it will have either the number of FQ's needed for trade, or yardage, plus postage. The materials would all have to be good quality material, 100% cotton. No novelty fabric please, i.e., clowns, dick and jane, etc.. Would love to get building fabric (such as bricks, stones, waterfalls, etc.), batiks, hand-dyes, solids, marbled, trees, plants, flowers, border prints.

There had been an interest expressed in a swap of this nature so if you are still interested, stay tuned as it will be coming soon. Who knows, I may even have a kit or two or a pattern or two that I may throw in to the mix.

Can't believe just how CLOSE the studio is to being finished! I will now have a place to do my painting, photography, baskets, weaving, quilting and art quilts AND the children's art replication! Not to mention a quiet place to work on my book AND do homework!

Think I'm going to take a nap now! nite nite

Sew Happy for you Terri. Can't wait to see you at the grand opening, as Terry said, cutting the ribbon.

Sounds great! You'll be so glad to have it finished and all settled in so you can get started on the fun stuff - the crafting!

I picture you at the door to your new studio, rotary cutter in hand, ready to cut the ribbon across the studio doorway for Opening Ceremonies. Maybe an Olympic size torch too? No, no, no, not with all of the fabric, patterns and booksin there!!!
