Quilt With Us

I've seen posts in multiple groups that the pictures are distorted and elongated. Mine are fine. Is it possible that it is the screen resolution setting on their computers that is doing this? This is one of those questions that after seeing that comment more than once just makes me go hmmmmm and ponder the causes. I know I can distort pictures on my wall paper if I click stretch to fill screen. Makes them look really weird.

Thanks Rebecca, I didn't know that.

I do know that when you post in a blog, there is a feature that allows you to instantly resize into the most compatible image size for this site. While you are in the Add and Image mode, and after you have located your photo (after "browse), then click Options. Choose Create a Thumbnail and let it default to the 300 pixels. Voila!

I've also seen members that are using Internet Explorer version 6 that have trouble viewing images. If they upgrade to 7 or 8 it should also help.

Thanks Rebecca. This is exactly what I had to do after I recently upgraded to Internet Explorer 8. It solved my problem.

Try this, go to "page" on your browser toolbar and check "compatibility view". Make sure a check mark appears next to it. If that works then leave it at that and every time your on this website your browser should "remember" that setting. If doing this makes no difference, "uncheck" the setting "compatibility view". Hope this works for those of you with this problem. RT in Houston

Mine do that and it's very frustrating. I believe it has something to do with a program we're in - what our email is set in or something. Karen will know. If I post in my pic file on the site they're fine....in a blog - huge and distorted......would like to know how to fix it.
