Quilt With Us

My, my, my another complete month since I last posted an update! I've been that busy???? Hardly, just preoccupied with my embroidery machine and projects geared for that particular phase of my hobby.

So here goes some updated pics for your viewing pleasure!

I made 9 placemats (in the hoop) for my holiday table. Here is only one placemat shown. I have three more to go.

An embroidered and quilted table topper.

Two quilted pillows using silk ties.

The quilting on the two Triple Irish Chain quilts were completed this month. I sent these two quilts out to a friend to complete the quilting. You really can't see the quilting in either piece due to the busy pattern of the quilt.  But I do love the design and using larger scale prints in the open areas of the chain.

Future projects include the completion of three more placemats (like the ones above); a table topper in the same pattern (once I get the embroidery file); another larger quilt which will be done by a longarmer, and making holiday table runners using the 60 degree triangle (Triangle frenzy pattern). Also whittling down my UFO's that are hanging in the closet. I have two smaller quilts that I can comfortably do on my mid-arm machine.

Vacation starts next week with a trip to the Berkshires, then a week up in Maine sharing a cabin with another couple just hanging out!

Returning at the end of August. Until then hope all is going well for you and yours.

Happy quilting!

Billie

Beautiful work Billie, I love those quilts. I was thinking just this morning I should do some machine embroidery.  I haven't done any in awhile.  The place mat and table topper are really cute also.  I agree with Sandy about Marden's.  I live in Maine and get most of my fabric there.

Wow, everything is beautiful. I especially love the Irish Chain quilts. Have you been to Marden's Billie? I highly recommend it when you get to Maine. Their fabric department is a quilters paradise. I have myself on restriction from there at this time though! It's a bummer because I know I am missing out on other fabulous bargains but with my sickness I CAN'T stay out of the fabric department. Then I get mad at myself when I go up to my sewing room and see all these tubs of fabric just sitting. The woes of a quiltaholic.

Oh my!  Where to I begin?  You have been busy!  Loved all of those projects!  Enjoy your vacation.  You are always so busy with your projects, I have to wonder what you take along to work on.

The Irish Chain big print quilts are wonderful.  You just can't seem to go wrong with the Irish Chain pattern.  Sounds like you are whipping out those projects and enjoying the embroidery machine.  Have a great vacation!
