First on the list is... you best get busy, Christmas is only 3months away!!!!
I went for my first skin check today and I'm so glad I did. Unless you are a doctor, you can not tell if you have pre-cancerous cells! I do and had my nose practically frozen off and two biopsies on chest and back. This girl doesn't have to go through that again. I thought, I used sunscreen adequately. Not so much...please go get checked even if you aren't in the sun a lot. We live in Syracuse NY third cloudiest in the US. The waiting room was full...

Good advice Pam. Glad you got checked out.
So glad you got them checked out...That's scary!
I'm a blonde...and my DH is a red head...yes we need to be careful...
Hope the results are good.
Good job, Pam! Those of us who are redheads with sun-sensitive skin have known for years that we must wear hats and sunblock if we are going to be outside at all. Did you have freckles as a kid? Keep a close eye on your skin!
Fishermen are also at risk. Although, my husband does hobby fishing, he has spent many hours on Oneida Lake, Thousand Islands, Hudson River, etc. he has had so many MOHS surgeries we have lost count. Perhaps 15. He has other lesions sprayed every few months. When we lived near Syracuse, our favorite dermatologist was Dr. Lewis Dubroff. Imagine he retired long ago.
jeepers pam. i hope the outcome is good. xoxo
Good girl Pam! my father and aunt have had a lot of spots treated, and I've had some myself. Have to admit I'm not faithful with the sunscreen, but I avoid the sun as much as I can. Sunscreen and bug spray, are they really safe?
Glad you got checked and cared for.
I agree Pam. We need to be always looking for spots that are questionable. I have had them removed off my face and arm. Cancer runs rampant in my family so I get checked often.
Your right about getting our Christmas projects started. Not too long now before we start decorating, sewing and getting ready for the big day to arrive.
I am so sorry you had to deal with this. I had two real bad spots on my face/nose 40 years ago. I have always been grateful to have had them removed plus places on .my back The Dr did such a beautiful plastic surgery on my face.
You are so right about farmers & ranchers getting more sun than they need. DH is 83 and has pre-cancerous cells on both arms, neck, face, etc. Every time he goes to the dr they burn off some more. I am grateful they can be taken care of relatively easily at this point.
