Do you suppose there is any hope to steer this 3 year old imp towards quilting? I'm hoping that if she starts by enjoying playing among fabric first, the desire to create with it will follow. Fingers crossed!

I think this is about the age my grandson loved doing things with me in my sewing room. Every year for mother's day we would do something special for his mom. Glad I enjoyed that while it lasted - there is no way he would do that now.
I don't think you will have an issue with her wanting to learn. Even my grandsons want to use the sewing machine. When I bought our oldest granddaughter (age 9 at the time) for Christmas all the kids wanted to make a pillow. It's a good thing that I had a big pkg of stuffing in the closet. All 7 kids made a mini pillow before they left and three of them are boys. My oldest grandson is now making a checker board. I am going to let him quilt it when he gets it pieced. My husband cut out some round wooden disks for him to use as checkers.
Barb, it looks like she may bee hooked already! :)
If that smile, along with finding the "perfect fabric" means anything, she just joined the club. Enjoy every minute!
She's hooked!!! A cutie!
I still think CT needs a LOVE button. She is adorable! Novelty prints would be a sure fire way to get her even more interested! I used to love strawberry shortcake when I was her age, and to be honest it still grabs my attention when I see it in the quilt shops! LOL
What a cutie pie she is Barb. I'm sure she will love making quilts with you.
