Quilt With Us

Well, taxes are done and I thought I'd do a little sewing as a stress reliever.  I bought these two Thirty-One totes for my mom.  She needs a light weight laundry hamper that will fit on her walker seat and I think these will fit the bill.  I got them on their outlet sale so embroidery wasn't available so I made these two little tags to help her keep things straight.  She doesn't likes putting her clean clothes into the dirty clothes hamper after they're clean.  She has quite a haul from the laundry room to her unit and these are pretty light weight. Now I get to scrunch them up and pack them in my suitcase.  I'll be with my parents for 3 weeks.  Should we take bets on how many pounds my DH will drop while I'm gone?

Very cute and a great idea...do they fit on brooms for my MIL...that's her mode of flight! lol

Linda:  No I didn't make the handles. They would be easy to do as they're just webbing strap.    I did embroider the Clean and Dirty tags.

Cute, I am sure she will love them

What a neat idea. Did you make handles? This would be great for the dorm too. Can't wait for that laundry fabric that won to be available at Connecting Thread.

Ok, everytime I went to Mother's I'd have to prepare meals ahead and freeze for my DH.  Guess what? Yep they were still in the freezer when I got back.  So after doing that a couple of times, I quit.  He never starved. I hope you have good weather and a nice visit.

Debbie, those are perfect.....cute and functional! Your mom should love them and is a lucky lady to have you for a daughter. Enjoy your trip. Funny about your DH....last year while I was away taking care of our daughter after her surgeries, my DH gained a bunch of weight! First, the neighbors were always feeding him with no consideration to his diet requirements (he is diabetic and controls totally with diet). Then when he ran out of all the food that I left in the freezer for him, he bought convenience/prepackaged foods. He's lucky he survived it. LOL It is amazing what these men can do on their own if they are forced to. LOL Again, have a great trip and enjoy  your time with your parents.

Very, very cute totes!  You need to make a pattern and market them!  Or something like them!  Have a wonderful visit with your folks, is there a roadtrip coming for your faithful viewers?

These laundry totes are really neat and she'll sure be able to use them and think of you every times she does. Have a great trip!!! DH's usually fend for themselves in the kitchen  or eat out.

Great idea Debbie,  I'm sure she will love them.  I wouldn't worry about hubby.  Most of the time they don't eat, what you spend hours preparing for them.  Enjoy your visit with your folks.
