Quilt With Us

I made this for my first great nephew. His mom decided to do his nursery with a red accent wall and using planes in honor of her father who died a few years ago, and who was a Life Flight nurse most of the time she was growing up. I made arrangements with Life Flight to take pictures of the plane her dad flew in as a nurse and then used Photo Shop Editor to remove the hanger and other planes before printing the plane on a printable fabric. Since my great nephew is named after his grandfather I added my nephews name and birth date to the bottom right corner block. The quilt squares are similar to the style of quilt I made for my niece and her husband for a wedding gift!

Thanks for all the nice comments.  My niece appreciated and liked the quilt and said it was too bad her son would never get to use it!  :-)  She is going to display it in his nursery.

Wow, what a wonderful quilt.  I agree too that the Life Flight crew would really enjoy seeing it.  Maybe you can take a picture of them with the quilt before you give it to your niece & her husband.

What a lovely thoughtful gift. It will be a special quilt that will be loved and admired by all. I also think you should show it to the Life Flight crews.

Beautiful quilt and well done. I agree with PQ and think you should show it to the Life Flight. What a great thing to do for your Great nephew. He'll have it always, maybe just folded on a chair when he is older, so he can see it.

It's beautiful and I agree with Prairie Quilter, the tears will be flowing when she see's it.  Have you shone it to the crew at Life Flight?  I'm sure they will be impressed to think they are a part of this tribute to their former employer and her dad. Good job.
