Quilt With Us

I Just re-read my posts from this winter and I want to tell you that I really did get several projects accomplished.  I hand quilted a wall hanging/table runner for my sister's new kitchen, a large baby blanket, 2 "dolly" quilts, a cloth story book, and a purse that I made in the class I took at a local quilt store.  Everyone was pleased with the quilts etc and I've used my purse almost every day since I finished it.  Since I got home I've been concentrating on other sewing projects but soon I'll be able to work on the quilt/spread that I have begun working on for my daughter.

I have photos that I will post on my page, if I manage to figure out how to transfer them.

I can't believe that its been so long since I last   left a post here.  It's probably because my quilting has been at a standstill.  I'm still in the midst of making a new top for a quilt I gave to my daughter and her husband quite a few yeats agol  They've used it on their bed while watching TV and some of the Log Cabin Strips have worn through to the batting.  The back is still good so I'm going to make a new top.  It's a new pattern that I bought at the Tucson Quilt Show this winter.  Hopefully this summer I will get to work on it.  I've spent two weeks at my daughter's  home now so I'm hoping when I get home I can get at my sewing projects.

Thanks for asking Prairie Quilter.  No, our Red River of the North is quite high, but no one along the eastern edge of ND is experiencing actual flooding.  We had a traumatic experience in l997 when our whole town was evacuated .Since then we have built a dike to protect Grand Forks and we have been safe so far.  Hearing about Minot brings bad memories to the forefront, though.  Our church has sent quilts to Minot and a group of business men are flying supplies out to Minot from our region.  Having experienced our flood,, we all want to help.  So many good people helped us in our distress, so we are anxious to help others.

Good to hear from you, Ginger!   Are you experiencing high water in your neck of the woods?

Sounds like you've made good progress on your projects.  I've been kind of at a standstill on one of mine, but I'm determined to get it finished before I start my other projects.  I have a baby quilt, graduation quilt and wedding quilt that will have deadlines, so I need to get busy!

I made a purse/tote a couple of years ago and have used it since I made it.  I still love it!
