Quilt With Us

Happy Halloween everyone. My DGD stayed last night and we carved pumpkins and made Halloween cookies. My daughter just picked her up and boy is she flying high. I'm pooped! I had a pretty productive week. I got my table runner finished and have half of my napkins done. I got my Ott-Lite and really like it. At first I didn't think it would be enough light but it is and is really easy on the eyes. I put another one on my Christmas list. My husband was even impressed with it. We cleaned out the garden before it freezes so have a lot to get in the freezer and a few tomatoes to can. Think I'll have a pretty busy week. Seems like every week is busy. I hear some people say they get bored staying at home and I can't figure out how. I'm never bored. Always too much to do.

The people who say the word "bored" are not quilters. They ask me what I'm going to do with all my time now that I don't babysit. I tell them that I'm going to catch up on the last 17 years.

I don't see how quilters could ever get bored. One lifetime won't be enough for all the quilts on my to do list.

"Complete Ditto" on what Irene said. I no longer have a garden and still don't have enough hours in my day. What is BORED?

Sounds like you had a really fun time with DGD. I know the feeling of being pooped when they leave. I realize now why we have kids when we're young. I'm glad you got your ott-lite and like it. It's something I think I will get one of these day's. This is a busy time of year with harvesting and preparing the foods for Winter consumption for you. I haven't had a garden in a few years. I gave it up as I was working until 6:30 p.m. and was so tired when I got home I just couldn't tend to it. I have been retired for almost 4 years and have never resumed having a garden. But I do miss it. I also hear what your saying about people complaining of being bored. I would have to look that word up in the dictionary to see what "being bored" means. I complain about not having enough hours in a day.
