magnificent. i am drooling.
Barbara, you had to do a lot of television-ignoring to create this quilt! That is spectacular! Good luck in Paducah!
Yes, it is a Sue Garman pattern but I didn't want to do all 16 ships. I made up the side panels.
Yes, it is pretty nautical for Wyoming but my dad was in the Navy and always loved boats, ships and water. I love ships but not boats.
I'm sure Miss Riley is in hysterics. She probably can't figure out what took me so long to get this done.
PQ--most of my applique is needleturn but I have several techniques in my arsenal. One stitch at a time. I do most of my needlework in the evening. My husband loves the television and there is no way I could just sit and watch the thing.
Gorgeous Barbara!!!! I agree,, a winner!!! Is this Sue Garman's pattern???
This came up on my screen and it took my breath!!! Absolutely stunning...no words! What an accomplishment! You're the winner in my book!!!! You must be so proud of yourself for this finish! Miss Riley is smiling down on you!!!!
Holy moly, Barbara! What an amazing endeavor! Quite the nautical theme for a land-locked Wyoming gal. :D Just beautiful. Was this needle-turn applique, or what method is your favorite? I'm always in awe of these intricate applique quilts. Nicely, nicely done.
(Isn't this the pattern you and Miss Riley Lane bought about the same time? Do you remember her? I'm sure she talked about this one shortly before she died. She would be so pleased at your finish.)
It is exquisite Barb. I would say it definitely deserves a ribbon.
Gorgeous!!! Prize worthy by my standards, for sure.
Barbara that is totally gorgeous. I think this quilt has a very good chance of getting a ribbon.
