Hahahahaha! Mine retired at the age of 53 (he just turned 68). Quilting has kept me out of jail for man slaughter! He's a good guy, and can repair and fix things, but every project seems to come to a halt because the kids or grandkids need something built (unfortunately not AT their houses)! Somehow he never quite gets back to our own projects. Lets just say he "enjoys" his mornings and doesn't seem to get started on anything until early afternoon. Not a problem if you don't complain you can't seem to get anything done! It always made me crazy when he was still working and Saturdays would somehow disappear before anything got done.  Until a friend explained to me that WE all start our day early because we have kids to get to school and only so many hours to get stuff done. Best quote I ever heard was when the NY Giants got their new coach a few years ago. I don't remember his name, but he came out of retirement to take the job. When asked why he said," My wife said it was time." LOL

Oh, sure...today I have a haircut appointment followed by a little shopping with a friend.  So, today is the day hubby goes to breakfast.  It seems either we are both home, or both gone.  There is no winning here...lol.

My DH doesn't go back to work until January 5th and I'm thrilled he's still home.  I'm a stay-at-home wife, with no 'kids' in town anymore, so the more he's home, the better.  He does have hobbies though so we each work in our own spaces and visit back and forth during the day.

We all need our alone time...he takes every Friday off and works at home...we're trying to wind down to full retirement in the next several years! lol

My retired DH recently was hired back by his employer as a retired annuitant for a specific project; he is gone 4 hours on Mondays and 4 hours on Tuesdays!   Love it! (and so does he.)  We have been married 35 years, but 24/7 was getting just a little tough.

I bet if you would ask my hubby he would say HE is happy to go back to work.  lol!  I actually was bummed he had to go to work Friday.  I think I drive him more nuts than he drives me.  My brother in law once said, "yeah, you guys are one of those weird couples that do everything together." We were married 19 years the 23rd of this month, and I still enjoy hanging out with him.......most days. :)

Lol!  With both of us retired we are together more often than not.  I've been trying to convince him to call some of the guys for a lo-ong breakfast, or something.  I can't wait until it's golf and fishing season again ; )
