I don't get sick often but when I do...

I went to  work yesterday and had a runny nose all morning.  I finally gave up and came home at lunch time. So my boss does know that I am sick and never questions my missing time which by the way is only the 6th or 7th time I've ever called out sick in nearly 20 years of work. After spending yesterday and all night in bed the last thing I want to do is go back to bed but not quite well enough to go to work.  So what does one do when your sick and bored?

We are still living in the RV and it's nice that I can finally start saving some money at least until I see what Connecting Threads has on sale anyway.

I recently brought a quilt that I made for my daughter some 30 years ago home with me and I've been working on repairing the parts of the quilt that have come apart.  It would go a lot faster if I could use my new sewing machine but DD doesn't like machine quilted quilts.  Hopefully this will last another 30 years once I am finished repairing it. Sense I can't use the sewing machine on DD quilt I guess I will get the next Mario character loaded in for embroidery while I work on daughters quilt.

As for the other half and his back injury, well they tried to give him injections to ease his pains but it only seemed to make things worse for him.  He is now seeing a surgeon who is going to router rooter his spine as he put it.  He has stenosis in his lower back and they are going to make room for his spine and nerves to move hopefully without the pain he has been having.

I hope you're feeling better!  I have been through the kind of back issues your hubby has.  The back procedure the back surgeon is considering made a huge difference for me.

Mom didn't get sick Pam.  I've been promoted to grandma and grandma gets sick, I'm pretty sure it was the grand kids fault they are sick as well.  Looking forward to seeing the Sun Bonnet Sue quilt Irene.  I think I tried years ago to make one but I never finished it that I can remember.

I'm sorry to hear you're sick Kathy. I hope you will be feeling better soon. Sounds like you will be busy repairing your daughters quilt. I'm in the process of making a Sun Bonnet Sue quilt for my great granddaughter. I hope your hubby's surgery will help the pain he is in.
