Had to check the calendar to make sure it was May25th. We went to our son's team playoff game in lacrosse. They won, but we almost froze...the wind was vicious. Everyone was in winter coats and had quilts! This crazy...we're suppose to be in the 80's on Wed. Have a wonderful Memorial Day...stop and say Thanks For all that we are blessed with.

Conversation with DH about the weather.
DH: It's cold, should we turn the heater on?
Me: No, I'm fine the way it is (dressed in shirt and sweat shirt and sweat pants and woolen socks)
DH: The cats are cold, we need the heat
Me: No, cats are fine (they were snuggled next to me in bed)
DH: I am cold! I'm turning the heater on.
Me: Fine, go ahead and throw your money out the window (my window was open by an inch).
Note: there was no invitation for him to join me in my comfortable bed. Cats had two-thirds of the bed by themselves pinning me nicely in the middle.
Congratulations to the lacrosse team! You wouldn't know by looking at them that it was so blasted cold. What a roller coaster spring!
Cool and sunny here after a sweatbox last week. Cooler is better as most schools do not have A/C. I hate working in June. It is unbearable usually.
At least you had a great quilt to wrap around your legs! Smart woman. It certainly has been roller coaster weather lately. Crazy.
We shared your shivers in IL! DD had an outdoor high school graduation yesterday. At least we were huddled in the bleachers. Those poor graduates on the field had no coats!
Same way here in Kansas........jeans and coats one day, air conditioner and 94 here today. Just can't seem to make up its mind what season we are in. We finally did get about an inch of rain a couple weeks ago which finally greened up the grass and we now have leaves on the trees, but still in severe drought.
Hope everyone has a safe Memorial Day week-end!
There's my beautiful friend! Hope it warms up for you.
I haven't put away my winter clothes either. I start the days out dressed for winter with the expectation that I'll be shedding some of the layers after noon.
Reminds me of baseball here. The Legion team always seemed to play a double header. Shorts and tee shirts for the afternoon game (for the fans, not the team) and winter jackets and hats when the wind would come up from the river. Brrrr.
