wonderful.... UGRR... I've made two and given them both away! Maybe 2015 - one for me!
Beautiful quilt Judith, just beautiful........
What a great way to finish up 2014. I can't wait to see what you do this year!
I recognize this pattern from Eleanor Burns' "Underground Railroad." Good Job! Our guild's quilt show this spring is entitled "hidden messages in quilts", and four of us contributed to this quilt and the "message" each block represents in the lore of the Underground Railroad. We will exhibit it with the commonly understood meanings written on cards for visitors. We know there is some contention among quilt historians about the authenticity of such message quilts, but we liked the idea which has been passed down in oral histories of the Civil War.
Great way to finish the year - with a beautiful quilt! Happy New Year!
Wonderful, wonderful! I love how the blues are just slightly brighter than I would have expected and give the quilt such a crisp, clean look -- a real attention getter. I love Civil War quilts but always think they look rather somber; this one is a beautiful exception!
Judith, that is a beauty! I, too, love the Civil War era quilts. Happy 2015!!!
That is a beautiful quilt. You did a great job with it.
Absolutely beautiful...love every thing about it. 2015 will bring more talented projects to share.
Well done! What a beautiful quilt to end the year. It will be fun to see what everyone creates in 2015.
