Quilt With Us

My friend Dawn Heese with Linen Closet Designs has started designing cute little projects that resemble shopping tags.  I bought this one & another one that looks like a bouquet of tulips from her at a quilt show a couple of weeks ago.  I just really felt the urge to get this one done.  It is about 14" x 22" and doesn't require any quilting as it is fused to the backing.  I have it hanging on the wall in my kitchen right now, but this pic shows it laying on my sewing room floor.  These would be adorable on top of tables or buffets.

Thanks Barb & handstitcher.  The nice thing with these is that they are not all that expensive to make, but still satisfy my urge to do wool applique.

Very cute, Janet. It would be fun to do several and swap them out for the seasons.

Super cute!  Love working with wool for hand applique.

Thanks Bonnie.  Good idea on the placemat.  If I did that, though, I would not use wool as it is so expensive, but this could easily be done with regular cotton.

that could also be a cute placemat.  Nice job!
