My wip or what I did on my vacation

so Saturday being my last vacation day I dug in and really worked on the quilt.  I got the center piece finished.  I haven't pressed it yet but this is it.  So we'll see what I can get done on my next vacation in June.

Yes I am on vacation this week, or at least I was.  I tried not to tell anyone about this 'cause it usually doesn't end up being much of a vacation for me.  It wasn't this time either.  The other half hurt his back at work last week. We were at the hospital until 1am. I got home slept for a few hours and went to work for a few hours, then vacation started.  Thursday, Friday, and Saturday DD called and we did some running around, baby sitting and what not that she needed to get done.  She promised not to call on Sunday.  Well she didn't, mom does. Sunday I ran her around more I think to keep her mind off her sister who lives in Oregon and not doing well.  Monday Doctors appointments for the other half.  I think Tuesday I actually had some time to start working on my quilt and a few other projects about the house.  Wednesday, doctors appointments and call from mom that her sister passed away.  I'm thinking at this point, trip to Oregon this week.  Not so. Apparently no funeral is planned for my aunt.  Thursday running the other half around, he couldn't drive he was on his happy pills but doing much better.  Today Doctor appointment and worked on yard and finally got the rest of the diamonds in place for this quilt.  Going to work on squaring this up with the white fabric and light brown for a border then I'm thinking of diamonds in the corners of the border.  Saturday, last day of vacation, what else could possibly go wrong.  Someone knock on wood and say a prayer or two, I'm sure I spoke too soon!!!

I love neutrals and stars this is surely a winning combination! I have a friend that made a mini one I will have to find the picture and show you. I did one but not in neutrals. Which pattern are you using for this one.

What?  You are going to keep us in suspense until June to get another look at this beauty?  Just kidding, of course.  That seems to be the way things go when you're busy.

Your vacation sounds typical for a woman.  I was always glad to go back to work to get some rest.

Your quilt is beautiful.  You did a great job on it.

You need a vacation from your vacation!  That quilt is beyond beautiful...I can't imagine anything that would make it more stunning.  Love your fabrics choices.

Stunning! We're the mom...we can't get sick or have much time to ourselves. But, the truth be told...I wouldn't want it any other way!
