Quilt With Us

Today, my mom and I took a trip to a quilt shop we'd never been to before. We were both very impressed by the fabric selection. They had some of the most beautiful fabrics I've ever seen. I got all of the fabric I need for 2 of the birthday swap blocks and for the 5" square fabric exchange. I also found two adorable music fabrics I bought on a whim. It was quite fun!

Shirley, It looks like I'm going to have to...I am a music teacher after all and there are some really cute music prints out there!

Hi, Monica! I live in Ohio, but have family in Green Bay, so I always make the rounds of the local quilt shops. My sister-in-law took me to one near DePere that was really nice. Danged if I can remember the name, though. You might check the yellow pages for this and others. This particular shop had lots of batiks and bright colors, something a little different than the "Up North" style that's more often seen.
Also, there is at least one active quilt guild in Green Bay. You might ask at the shops since they may host a guild or group. Joining one as a beginner is so helpful, and a lot of fun.

It's always so much fun to find a new shop! Glad you had a good time.
