Quilt With Us

I haven't posted in a while and I think I should start in this new year.

I have been working on my Dear Jane since Feb of 2015.  I should be at 130 blocks by now but I only have about 50.  I started reworking on them this week.  So far this week I have done A1 and A13.  A13 is an alternate block since I didn't thing that I could do the original.

I have to start squaring up my blocks so that I can start on the sashing.  I am thinking about a gold or a brown with the corner stones being the same color as the background.

I am always amazed by quilters who tackle the Dear Jane quilt.  What a dedication of time...but what a rewarding quilt when finished.  Way to go!

I admire you for tackling a Dear Jane.  Should be a fun, but challenging journey.  They are truly  heirloom quilts.

My friend Lou Ann started one of those years ago in all blue and white.  It sure makes a beautiful quilt.  Now that you have started working on it again, hopefully you will be inspired to finish it.

The colors are a great choice. That was a big project. Good for you to finish it. Will you hand quilt it?
