Quilt With Us

In a little while I will head out for our annual quilt group picnic.  So far, no rain, but the heat index is 95 so we will probably end up eating indoors.  Usually we grill out, and have outdoor games with prizes before heading indoors to our sewing machines.  Here are a few pictures of things I've worked on the last few months.  The table topper in the bright colors was from scraps left over from the quilt, and the result of a winter that just got too long and dreary.  I haven't decided yet how I want to quilt it.

What fun quilts with lovely bright colors!

Thank you all!  PQ, the block is from the pattern "Thirty Nine & Holding", a Fudge Factor Pattern by Klaudeen Hansen.  The pattern has been around a while, and I've seen some neat variations.

You did an incredible job on the checkerboard quilt and I love the bright colors in the other one. Great way to get rid of scrapes.

I love them both, Barb!  Especially the checkerboard background with the floating brights.  Do you have a name for that block?

Thanks for sharing, Barb! Hope you enjoy your indoor picnic! With the air conditioning on so much, I find I’m doing a lot of quilting this summer. Too hot right now for outdoor work.

Lovely projects Barb.  I too was beginning to think the winter was never going to end.  Then we had endless amounts of rain & flooding here in Mid-Missouri & now temps close to 100 degrees.  Makes it hard to feel like doing much needlework.
