Quilt With Us

Back from quilt camp but that's for another post after I take photos of projects.

Wed. I completed a couple quick projects.

First are pillowcases for a cousin who is battling inflammatory breast cancer; receiving chemo, then bilateral mastectomy, then radiation. Needs prayer. Next are trick or treat bags for grandkids using "snap" bag pattern; in photo I cut off "snap" bands at top which are same fabrics as triangles at top.

Hope this post works as I am not to savy at this posting stuff.

Happy quilting to all.

Thanks for the compliments.
Teri---"snap" bag-after sewing the bands across the top and before side seams are sewn, a section of carpenter ruler (the kind that rewinds) is placed in each band. This is what holds the bag closed; when the 2 triangles are pulled apart the bag opens and "snaps" as you pull. I have no written directions but can try to do that and post that.

Breast cancer fabric---I found the fabric at the quilt shop in Trego, Wi. I don't know name nor designer and threw the selvages with info in the trash. I'm sure if you went online you could find it. The pink fabric is a batik and the polk-a-dot just happened to match.

Love the pillowcase........where did you find that fabric? My sister is a breast cancer survivor, and the word "HOPE" really stands out on your pillowcase.

Love the Halloween bags but, what is a "snap" bag? Hope the pillowcase will help your cousin to stay strong, and my prayers are with her.

The pillowcase is great and hopefully will help to keep her moral up. I will
certainly send my prayers for her.

The pillowcase is great. I know she will love it. Your bags are cute and a great idea doing them as snap bags.
