Quilt With Us

I have a friend who comes over a couple of times a week & we quilt or talk about quilting ect well on Friday when she came over we watched some Quilt in a Day DVDs i have one which was Delectable Mountains Quilt I rather liked it as so did she having only the DVD i went looking for the book which i have found with Templates so have ordered it well not spent all my Christmas money yet the image from the book is below

I also been knitting socks I actually finished a pair for me & have worn them that way i keep them lol i use a different brand of yarn from my Online Yarn i usually use as i got 1 ball of this to try & while it okay i still prefer my Online Yarn the yarn was Sport- & Strumpfgarn Yarn which is 60% Wool, 25% Acrylic & 15% Polyamide here is the socks

The next pair i done was for an order i used Online Yarn & it done in their Spot-Colour Range  this is 75%  Virgin Super-wash Wool & 25% Polyamide

I have now started a scarf for DH which i will have to finish or drop quickly as i think i have an order for 2 pairs of socks.

For me to drop a project is something i never do as i have a rule that i can't start a new one until i finish what i am working on but as it an order i may have to so i guess it won't count well that my excuse & my DH will say i been reading the book of a 101 excuses again lol

So guys, I started my quilting classes. I absolutely love it!!! I have waited years to do this. Now I know why people who quilt have so many projects going at once. You get the fever like in knitting. My biggest turmoil is not knowing if I should quilt or knit today. I need two more arms and hands. I will post pics. as soon as I can.

Karen! When I started knitting socks it felt so awkward. I kept knitting inside the round. Duh, stupid me. Once I got the hang of it I loved it. I have a draw full now. Good luck and share pics when your done.

I have just started knitting socks, working on my first pair. I love the ones you have made. Do you have a favorite pattern you use. I also like the cloth pattern. Thanks for sharing

Hi Janice, I love the socks. I admire you for finishing up each project. I seldom do that unless it being made for a gift at a shower or birthday. Kudos to you! Sunny and very cold and windy here in NYC. Be well! Maryann

Good Morning Margo

Now Mystery quilts never interest me as i like to see what i am going to do i mean you could have small pieces to do lol

Thanks for your lovely comments, Yes Paulette the socks are great for the cold weather but they don't make your feet sweat even if it not that cold, i wear mine indoors as well as if i went without socks in the winter my feet are like blocks of ice so they are just comfortable

Hope that you all are well & safe with what ever weather your having it a bright sunny day here with a very frosty start but it not too cold now it just gone midday well take care

Hugs Janice

Just what the cold weather ordered. ;-) They are nice and bright to warm up the winter blob. I did not know that you did socks. They are really nice. Very nice colors. Thanks for sharing.
