Quilt With Us

How is everyone doing?  Since my last post I inherited a serious quilters fabric stash.  I've made a few quilts, currently quilting a sailboat quilt for my grandson who will soon be 5 yrs old.  The youngest grandson will soon be 2 and is due a new quilt.

So many quilts on my round tuit list...

I have 3 quilt top wips in patterns I found on pintrest.

I am full time at the PD as night shift dispatcher.   It's great because I can work on projects in my free time.  That is why I have 3 current wips.  I  piece the blocks together at work, but sashing and borders are definitely a home project .

Happy quilting!

Barb, I've never bought plaids, stripes or patriotic fabric for quilting.  I inherited a lot of them.  Also a bunch of beautiful Christmas fabrics.    I never met her,  but I sure wish I had and talked quilts!  Wish I knew what she had in mind for all those fabrics.   I also got a bunch of batiks and plenty of fat quarters. I am trying to get some quilt tops made even if they don't get quilted for a while as they can be hung over hangers in the closet.  The fabric stash is overflowing into other rooms....trying to get it all into one room again.  But I will have to stop and quilt some soon as the closet is getting full also.

I am not sure inheriting a quilting stash would be a blessing or a curse in my case!  Trying so hard to whittle down my own stash.  :-D

Laurie - glad to see your post!  I was just thinking about you recently and wondered how you were doing.  I'm trying to diminish my pile of fabric, so any quilt I make must come from my stash.  It's sometimes been a challenge, but is satisfying, too.  Keep in touch!

It was so good to see your post and knowing that you are still quilting. So sorry to hear about your husband's eyesight problems, but knowing that you a job close by really helps. Getting to piece your blocks at work is so  awesome. Keep in touch. Sharon

Laurie, so nice to see your post. I'm glad you have a job that allows you to work on your quilts. I hope you will continue to post. You have been missed.

It is nice to see a post from you Laurie.  I'm sorry to hear about your husband's eyesight though.  My older brother is legally blind although he can see somewhat.  It is nice that you now have a job where you can quilt easier.
