Quilt With Us

It took me a while to make this totebag/purse for a silent auction. In addition to the purse and book I will be including some dark chocolates from a local chocolatier--however--if I buy the chocolates now, I'll have to buy them again and again.

Carol, any bookstore can order them, (except the first one which is out of print) or your library might have them or can borrow for you from another library. The newest book is not, but the first two books are available on Kindle.

You caught my curiosity with the book, hooked me with the purse, but then... DARK CHOCOLATES????? Oh my. How can one be silent??????   What a great win!

Pam, if I had to stick to the facts, I never get anything written. I guess I'm a better liar than teller of truths.

I am always amazed how much you accomplish...I am in charge of writing the history of our lake...it is not easy to sit down and write, especially for someone that doesn't have a background in the field. That IS a gorgeous fabric...the cost of fabric will only keep climbing with the oil situation.

Despite Pam's assertion about my having time hanging on my hands--she probably thinks I have an extra one of those--I cannot replicate the bag. When I finished, I didn't even have a decent sized scrap of the teal. It is a gorgeous batik with fabric paints on it. It came painted (not inexpensive) so I bought as little as possible.

Only those attending can bid. Sorry.

I keep coming back to the bag.  Great fabric choices, Barbara.

Beautiful purse. I love the flowers. Looks so Springy.  Purse, book and choclates, what more could you want. Great contribution to a good cause.

Oh man!  I was thinking we'd have a chance to win this one, Barbara.  Sign me up!!! I guess my brain skipped right to the chocolates and didn't process the auction stuff.  It happens.  I recently tried to try to wean myself off peanut M & Ms.  Apparently after 2 wks my husband thought it wasn't going well because he came home yesterday with a large bag.  BLESS HIM!!!

Anyway, you can't go wrong with the wonderful bag, a good mystery and chocolate.  It should bring top dollar for sure!

Someone is going home with some real treasures!  Who wouldn't be thrilled to have the winning bid on a package like that?  Perfect!
