What i do with Amazon if i see or get a e-mail about something on the USA site i then see if it available from the UK one even if it from a USA seller i get charged UK postage fee not the international fee if i ordered it from the USA site so it worth thinking about if you see if it on another countries site

I go to those site. I also go to Alibris.com. They have a lot and the shipping is pretty cheap.

Thanks All for your lovely comments

On the quilting book/DVD combo check out places like eBay & Amazon the underground railroad i got the book from Amazon & the DVD from eBay (still in postal system) & even with the 2 lots of shipping it worked out cheaper for me to do it like this than from Quilt in a Day it not the cost so much as she does some combo prices but it the shipping that pushes it up for me, that said on Amazon i don't always go for new i go & look at the New/Used price & get good prices from there some as little as £0.01p plus postage

The UGR sampler i am waiting on the DVD as there is some nice blocks in there one they showing as a table runner so it be interesting to watch the DVD

On the Egg Money one that is long i think it is 2 DVDs i know Quilts through the Season is can't remember which one it is but we was getting her shows on a satellite Channel but it closed down so we never finished seeing the whole lot & as i have both books i thought the DVDs would be great to have both me & my friend rather like the Christmas one with the Cardinals on

I done Hats last year for the 1st time for an order i did a sample one to see i could do it then took on 2 hat order which i did & they came out great better than i hoped for

Well thanks again for all your kind comments

Now, those quilts on the cover of the egg money quilts are beautiful....love the colors.  And the underground railroad sampler catches my eye too.   But, you did a fantastic job on those socks.  I've knitted baby hats and booties.....socks for me are on my round tuit list.

Thanks Ally & Vicki
Yes Eleanor Burns is good, me & my friend laugh at her especially at her dress style on the DVDs as some are really dated but she shows you how to do things & if i was to do something from her book which i don't fully understand watching the DVD helps also love that we get our own mini quilt show on each of them lol

It was my mum who taught me to knit Vicki & like your Nan my mum could watch TV & knit i can if i am not doing too harder pattern then it one eye on the knitting, & again like you i do it in the evenings i find it nice to do it while watching TV

I have taken a little time off & been reading a Amish Trilogy which i will finish today so i can start to think what next to knit & sew

love the socks, I have just started knitting, and  made a sweater for my Grandsons birthday next week. I must say for my first sweater it turned out very good. Started another for my other grandson for Christmas.  I like to knit at night for a little while seems to calm me down  after a long day at work. My grandma would knit non stop watch tv and never look at her knitting and she was amazing with the items she would knit. She tought me to sew when I was 9, and then taught me to crochet, needlepoint, and knit. I miss her something terrible. And hope that I can be an  inspiration  to my 6 grandaughters someday when they get older. But I still love sewing and making things for people especially my grandkids.

Janice my first quilt was from Quilt in a Day. But I didn't finish it in a day!!! I did the log cabin and it was a neat quick way to do it. I love Elenor Burns books. I went on to make about 5 log cabins. And even done them on the serger which makes even quicker.
